Pleasant
View is spectacular. Room is very comfortable. Staff very attentive and kind. Location is near a favela... but I felt no danger. If you're here for peace and quiet in the middle of the Atlantic rain forest... it's great. I spent the mornings by the pool reading my book and the afternoons swinging on my hammock on my balcony, watching and listening to all the birds. Fyi... there are currently heavy road works nearby which can be a little noisy.
Breakfast is one of the main reasons I choose to go to a hotel/B&B otherwise I would simply choose to rent a room.... This hotel offered the worst I've ever seen. Food had obviously been sitting out in the heat for hours. Sweaty cheese and cold meats, old fruit cut in giant slabs, flies all over bread, packet made orange juice. To throw insult to injury... the owner and family joined the paying guests for breakfast and received freshly cut fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice!!!! When I asked for fresh orange juice, I was told there was none! Could do with buying new mattresses and pillows. Room 4 has a very very loud air con (despite being a split).

Amazing
The hotel is perfect located to have a fresh view of Christ the Redeemer, surrounded by trees, birds singing all around. I got a relaxing massage and sauna. The perfect start of the day was the delicious breakfast.
Water could be more hot in the jacuzzi

Great property!!
Very clean and funky! Looks like a cosy resort in Rio. Great breakfast with monkeys I definitely recommend it
